My name is Tamara and I live in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. For a while there I thought I was destined to be a high school English teacher–alas! My newest journey began in May 2012 when I quit my teaching job and decided to find a new path. This blog is a record of that journey, a contemplation of each new day.
The title of the blog, “one more folded sunset” is a portion of a line from Elizabeth Bishop’s poem “Questions of Travel.” In that poem she asks whether it is “a lack of imagination that makes us” seek out the intricate sights and sounds that make up the beauty of the world, to chase “one more folded sunset,” “or could Pascal not have been entirely right/about just sitting quietly in one’s room?“
Us aspiring novelists need to have each others’ backs. So I have yours 🙂
